Mr. CHAN Kin Hung, our Honorary Principal, is a recognized educator and educational leader in Hong Kong, Macau and Canada. His academic achievements include a BA (First Class Hons. CUHK), a MEd. and a PGCEd (HKU). He is currently a Doctoral Candidate in the field of educational administration. He studied at the University of London and the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto.
After serving in the education sector for over 40 years, Mr. CHAN Kin Hung's successful career has earned him the Christian Education Award in 1991 and the Alumni Achievement Award in 2003 from the Faculty of Education, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. And he has served various posts including:
Principal of secondary schools, primary schools and kindergartens in Hong Kong;
Head of Student Affairs at an International school in Ontario, Canada;
Board Member of Hong Kong Baptist University;
Member of Board of Education, Hong Kong Government
Chairman of the CPD of Principals Steering Committee and the Curriculum Development Committee, Hong Kong Education and Manpower Bureau
Long-term Executive Committee Member of Secondary Schools Council, Hong Kong Association of Heads of Secondary Schools (HKAHSS)
Part-time Lecturer giving educational administration courses at the Hong Kong SAR Government and various universities for more than 25 years;
Principal of The Affiliated School of the University of Macau and Part-time Lecturer at University of Macau;
Currently, Head of Vocational Training and Education Service, Caritas Hong Kong and the Advisory Principal of The Affiliated School of the University of Macau
Mr. CHAN Kin Hung became the Founding Principal of Tin Ka Ping Secondary School (TKPSS) founded by the Tin Ka Ping Foundation in 1994. Owing to his visionary leadership, proven expertise in school management and assiduous efforts, the school grew significantly and enjoyed outstanding success.
In recognition of his remarkable contributions to TKPSS, the school appointed Mr. CHAN Kin Hung as its Honorary Principal in 2004 in the hopes of working with him to achieve the highest quality education possible.
